The Japan Fruits and Vegetables Export Promotion Council (head office: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo) held a trade show on January 16, 2025 (Thursday), in collaboration with its partner, Pasona Agri-Partners Inc. (head office: Minato-ku, Tokyo). The event, aimed at expanding the market for Japanese fresh produce, took place at the five-star hotel Dusit Thani Laguna Singapore. This was the second trade show of the fiscal year.
Titled the “Japan Fruits and Vegetables Export Promotion Council Singapore Business Meeting”, the event featured four exhibitors from Japan. Nine companies from Singapore, primarily local distributors with a proven track record in importing and selling Japanese fresh produce, were invited to attend.

Event Highlights
On the day of the event, Dusit Thani Laguna Singapore’s Chef Jordan created desserts using the showcased products. Highlights included the “Gold Mont Blanc,” made with roasted Goto sweet potatoes and Beni Haruka sweet potatoes, a tart featuring Shine Muscat grapes and yuzu, and a Shine Muscat shortcake.
These desserts, crafted with Japanese fresh produce, were featured in a special limited-time promotion at the hotel’s Greenhouse restaurant. The fair was well received by visitors, who praised the innovative and high-quality creations.
